Use cases for team collaboration
As you know, @KajMagnus, I LOVE talkyard.
We are starting a new development project internally that I'd love to host our collaboration chats, discussions and work items on TY (instead of Slack).
This caused me to think that this could be a really viable way for you to commercialize TY generally. In many many ways I believe TY is superior to Slack for team management and talk.
One immediate thing that could hurt this is that right now we're locked in to a CC license on all user content stored on the site. This is a no go for anything related to internal company development.
I noticed we can change some stuff in our settings, but it appears we cannot upload or edit our own terms of service document, whereas the document appears to be automatically generated.
While I suppose that is nice for some, we would eventually (and quite quickly for the upcoming development project) need to change this licensing.
Is there any way we can change this to use our own legal document?

Look here: /-/admin/settings/legal
Custom Terms of Use URL: A URL to any Terms of Use page of yours that you want to use instead of the built-in default.
If you fill in that setting, then, the CC-By fields below get hidden because they thereafter are no longer in effect.
How would this work for you? Would you prefer to instead copy-paste / upload a ToU document into a page in your Talkyard .net forum? Maybe you could do that, and then edit the ToU link, to link to that page?
(Interesting to hear about your thoughts about Ty and Slack and team collab use case)

Oh wow haha! My bad, I hadn't seen the custom links, I only saw the drop down menu.

Yes this is exactly what I was hoping to be able to do.
Thank you!Would love to have a (perhaps private) chat with you at one point about the commercialization. I'm sure you have a lot of plans already but IMO talkyard has potential to work as a collaboration tool for large organizations.

I would love that too :- ) Some time the upcoming month or weeks would be nice.
I've been thinking about these things a bit, and soon it's time for Startup School winter 2020 then I'll get some motivation to focus not only on coding, but also marketing and things like that. I've thought a bit about integrating with Slack or Mattermost. Like StackOverflow for Teams integrates with Slack.

We should definitely talk! Let me start an email thread for us on this topic :)
Already copied the ToS over to a private page now, it's brilliant! Thanks for the quick help.
