New language: es_CL
I have made a spanish translation of Talkyard.
I made some choices that you may or may not agree with. For instance "topic" is literally translated "tema", which actually means "subject". This is the most standard translation in other forum apps, but I don't find that word to fit all that well into what a topic in a forum is, so I translated it into "conversación" (which means conversation), because i think the start of a topic is almost always the start of a conversation. if you don't like this, just tell me, it's just a matter of replacing 99.9% of the words "conversación" and "conversaciones" with ·"tema" and "temas".
I tried to upload this as a "pull request" but I didn't know how to do it, so uploaded it to pastebin: This is the link: https://pastebin.com/qqBB9CE4
I double checked for errors and typos, and it seems to be allright. Take a look at it and tell me if you like what you see or want some changes.
I don't have the technical skills to try this with a development version of this software, so I guess I depend on you to enable this in the production version in order to be able to translate my Talkyard instance into spanish. Would appreciate that!

HI Locatelli, I had a quick look, looks fine (just two small Typescript syntax errors). Except that I don't know Spanish :- )

Thanks for asking / telling me about that. I guess I don't know :- )
Not impossible that in the future, some admins will prefer "tema", and others like "conversación" — a way to handle that, could be to have per language config options, so admins could choose if they want "tema" or "conversación", everyone happy.
There's a Contributors License Agreement, here: https://github.com/debiki/talkyard/blob/master/docs/CLA-v2.txt
Can you please read it and send an email to
support @ talkyard . iothat you agree with the CLA + include a link to the CLA,, and attach the translation?
Then I'll include the translation in a new Git repository I'll create for translations, and Spanish will be included in the next Talkyard release.

Question, the translation will be added to the new development release or production?
I ask this because I see a new development release today and I see the translation file in translation folder. But when I ran the update command in my production instance it told me it was already up to date.
That new release is being tried out a bit here at Talkyard .io, and then, probably some time the 2nd half this week, your serve will auto upgrade to that new version.
(I always try out new versions here at Ty .io a bit before making them available for the self hosted installations.
There're some WebSocket related things too in the new version, not only the translation.)
( @Locatelli — I'll probably bump the self-installation version (the one you use) on Saturday. I just upgraded the Ty .net server, to the new version with Spanish, and trying it out there too, for 2 days (because of the new WebSocket stuff). )
