Email notifications / threads

    I used to just have a single thread in my Gmail with the new stuff that had happened in Talkyard. Now I have 5.
    This is definitely not an improvement, it creates much more noise that isn't useful.

    Can it maybe be an option so that we can select/elect to get everything in the same thread (it just requires the email subject to be the same)?

      I can change to this subject line, always: [site.addr.ess] New notifications — that should work for everything (right?)

          I think that'd be great at least for the short term yea :) Not 100% sure if it's the final, best approach though.
          It feels like possibly we need each user to be able to select which notifications are sent over email, and which aren't.

          For example, if it were me personally, I'd choose to not have like votes and moderation sent over email (but still have like notifications on the site when I click my name in the dropdown).
