Importing comments from Wordpress

I'm trying to import WordPress comments using the official import
process from
How to Import Discussions to Talkyard but
getting error TyEM0UPSPATCH - 'Not allowed'.
I have:
- Properly formatted v0.2021 JSON data
- Valid API secret (other endpoints work)
- Used the official to-talkyard tool
How do I enable import permissions for my hosted instance:
comments-for-makanju-org.talkyard.net?

But you wrote WordPress comments? I've built an exporter from Disqus to Talkyard, but not from WordPress. Did you really mean WordPress? (Someone worked around this, by first exporting from WordPress to Disqus, and then from Disqus to Talkyard.)
How big is the comments dump? There's some max size limits, but you're probably unlikely to run into those.
